Practical Ed Tech Tip of the Week – Using Page Level Permissions in Wikispaces

Just like Google Sites, Wikispaces offers a page-level permissions setting. Page-level permissions in Wikispaces allows the creator of a wiki to share and give editing access to specific pages within a wiki rather than giving access to edit the entire site. To access page-level permissions open the “more options” menu while logged into your wiki. With page-level permissions activated you can share and allow editing for each page on an individual basis. By using the page-level permissions you can put students in charge of managing their own pages in a wiki without the fear that they might accidentally delete another student’s work. This is a good option when you want use Wikispaces as a place for students to create digital portfolios.

The video below shows you how to enable page-level permissions.
