Practical Ed Tech Tip of the Week – Searching the Google Newspaper Archive

One of the ways to get students to find and utilize resources beyond what they’ll find in a typical Google.com search is is to introduce students to tools like the Google News Newspaper archive. In the Google News Newspaper archive you can search for a specific newspaper, search for article titles, or as demonstrated below you can search for a topic.

I often introduce the Google News Newspaper Archive at the same time that I introduce students to the Google Books search tools. In the video below I provide an overview of how to use Google Books for research.
