Try ClassTools for Making Educational Games

ClassTools, developed by a history teacher named Russel Tarr, is one of my favorite places to find educational games, game templates, and graphic organizers. So many games and graphic organizers are available on ClassTools that the site now needs a power search function. Use the search function on ClassTools to find games for the topics you teach. But if you don’t find an exact match to what you need, use the games you do find as a template for making your own through the tools on ClassTools. See the search function in action by watching my demonstration video below.

Three of my favorite educational game creation tools on ClassTools are Mission MapQuest, Connect Fours, and Play Your Dates Right. In Mission MapQuest you create clues that your students use to find locations on an interactive map. Connect Fours is a template for creating a word association game. Play Your Dates Right is a simple timeline game in which students have to put three events in the correct sequence. You can see all three of these games in action in this playlist of ClassTools tutorials.
