Online PD for Your School

pd-for-your-schoolTime, recall, budget.

Those words summarize the challenge that administrators face when planning professional development. Webinars solve those challenges.

Time

My professional development webinars are designed to give teachers practical educational technology training in concise, 60 minute blocks. Webinars are scheduled at a time that is convenient for the majority of your teachers. And those who can’t attend the live webinar can watch the high definition recording. After the webinar you will get a report on who participated in the live sessions and who watched the recordings.

Recall

Your teachers will receive a copy of the recording of the webinars in which they participate. They can watch and refer to those recordings whenever and as often as they need to.

Budget

You can provide your teachers with professional development for as little as $10/person. I won’t make you call me for an estimate to determine the cost. The cost is $500 per webinar for up to 50 participants in each webinar. If you need to have more teachers participate, I can accommodate that too. Just email me for a quote.

It’s easy to schedule a webinar for your teachers.

1. Pick one of my popular professional development topics listed below or contact me to customize a training for your staff.
2. Email me with your choice of topic(s) and the date(s) and time(s) you want to have your teachers learn with me. My email address is richardbyrne (at) freetech4teachers.com (if you don’t hear from me in 48 hours, please check your spam/ junk folder).

Sample Topics:
1. Getting Going With Google Workspace for Education
Google Docs, Slides, Forms, Sheets, Calendar

2. Fun With Formative Assessments
Learn how to use a handful of apps and sites that can be used to create and conduct formative assessments.

3. Geography and More With Digital Maps
Learn how to use Google Maps, Earth, and other digital mapping tools to create engaging lessons in social studies, language arts, math, and     science.

4. Search Strategies Students Need to Know

5. Engaging students with video creation projects.
Creating and publishing videos is a great way to get kids excited to learn and share. In this webinar teachers will learn the fundamentals of       planning a video project and learn how to make videos. Teachers will also receive a crash course in copyright, Creative Commons, and fair use.

A few nice comments from past webinar participants:

Hi Richard,

I wanted to write and say a huge thank you for the online GAFE course.   I used a google form with iPads to get parent information during open house. The form worked wonderfully and it was fun to see the parents and students working together to complete the information.   Thanks for the first attempt of many future uses of my new knowledge!!!

Hi Mr. Byrne,
Thank you very much for the three webinars. I learned a lot of things and the recording sessions will help me to review some notions that I missed because English isn’t my mother tongue.
At the same time, I would like to thank you for all the sharing in freetech4teachers. All the resources help me to integrate technology in my classroom.
Have a nice day,
Josée Mercier
Hi Richard,

Thanks again for another great webinar and MTI course. I have found the two courses that I have taken to be very valuable and have helped me to advocate for a more open tech environment in my district.

I have two colleagues who have also signed up for the summer GAFE course, as well!

Thanks again for all that you do to promote the education profession!
